August is the prime time to celebrate Vermont’s Agricultural heritage and the best way is to spend a day at the fairgrounds. Two of the best come up this month.

At the end of the month is the Champlain Valley Fair starting August 26 and going until September 4, 2016. Champlainvalleyfair.org for all the information. Celebrate the start of the harvest season by attending Ciderfest at Champlain Orchards in Shoreham, Vermont. The festival is August 13 from 38pm. They will have food, music, and and of course, Cider! Last but certainly not least is Vermont Open Farm Week starting August 15 August 21, 2016. Ninety different farms will be hosting events throughout the week.
